OdiseIA Digital Health Work Group

At a time of accelerated transformation, with major ethical debates, regulatory advances, and new questions about the real impact of Artificial Intelligence on people, organizations, and public systems, this week we met to organize lines of work, prioritize, and define the best model to advance realistic, useful, and sustainable projects.

We do this from a clear MISSION: to promote the ethical and evaluable adoption of AI-based health solutions, connecting key players and generating resources applicable to the healthcare system.

We are very diverse profiles, with experience in health, law, ethics, technology, management, research, digital transformation and experience in operationalizing digital transformation and innovation strategies.

And that is precisely where the value of the group lies: looking at digital health and AI from an interdisciplinary, rigorous perspective connected to the real challenges of the healthcare system.

Among the first lines of work we address 𝗜𝗔 𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹, a particularly sensitive area where innovation must advance with evidence, clinical safety, ethical guarantees and human supervision.

We also share our thoughts on the current regulatory situation:

Digital Health Regulations, Health Data Spaces, AI Systems Assessment and Health Technologies.

All of this comes during a particularly significant week, marked by the Spanish government 's approval of the Draft Law for the Proper Use and Governance of Artificial Intelligence, which will guarantee human oversight and the reliable use of AI, and the Royal Decree regulating Health Technology Assessment (HTA) in the National Health System, which, among other things, imposes the strictest guarantees of transparency and ethics: https://lnkd.in/eHTbR4-W

In healthcare, this conversation is especially relevant:

Simply incorporating technology is not enough.

We need governance, risk management, and real capacity to assess the rigor, traceability, security, and impact of the systems that are beginning to become part of our organizations.
